The Big Draw 2021

Drawing Changes Lives
The Big Draw international event takes place throughout October and spans over 25 countries with the single aim of encouraging people to draw. So get involved in your school and community by organising an event.
“The 2021 Big Draw Festival theme, Make the Change, is a timely development on last year’s exploration into the relationship between people and our living environments. In 2021, we desire to take action, to explore and discover ways to live in balance with the world around us, to reconnect with each other and create a better world for future generations.”
International Walk to School Month 2021
1st – 31st October 2021
Every October is International Walk to School Month – an opportunity for children to join hundreds of thousands of pupils across the globe celebrating the walk to school.
Wrap up warm and walk to school this month; to help you along the way there are incentives & tips on the Living Streets website.

World Space Week 2021
4th – 10th October 2021
Each year, the World Space Week Association (WSWA) selects a theme for the upcoming World Space Week (WSW) to provide a focus of the activities and events that take a place throughout the world, during 4-10 October. The World Space Week 2021 theme celebrates “Women in Space.”

World Teachers’ Day 2021
Tuesday 5th October 2021
World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate all teachers around the globe. It commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, which sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers, and standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions.
The theme for World Teachers’ Day 2021 is “Teachers at the heart of education recovery”.
